We will learn the various properties of ammonia today........

Properties
  1. Turns red litmus paper blue.
  2. Pungent smell.
  3. NH 3 +Hcl gives NH 4cl (white fume).
  4. Less denser than air.
  5. Very solluble in water to give an alkaline sollution .
  6. Colourless and distinctive smell
