A tiptop revision of magntism in physics ....

Fields, Currents and Forces.
When a current passes through a conductor, a magnetic field is produced. When a current is passed through a conductor in a magnetic field a force is produced.
Fleming’s left hand rule
This is used to find the direction of force, when the direction of the current and the magnetic directions are given.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE:
1.      The direction of the field is from north to south.
2.      The direction of current is from (+) pole.
3.      The rule can only be applied if the current and the field are at right angles.

·         THUMB=> Thrust (force)
·         FIRST=>      Field
·         SECOND=>Current
Increasing the force
1.      Increase the strength of the magnet.
2.      Increase the size of the magnet.
3.      Increase the length of the conductor.

(THIS FORCE IS USED IN THE “MOVING COIL LOUD SPEAKER” TO PRODUCE SOUND.)

Forces between current carrying conductors
If the currents flow in opposite direction they repel each other.

Importance of excersise to humans.......

The importance of exercise
Well, let’s direct our attention on the various benefits of exercise .before I proceed, I would like to emphasize why exercise is currently stressed it’s simple because nowadays more people gravitate towards sedentary works instead of hard works, like playing computer games and watching TV.

lets begin
1)    The efficiency of the heart is improved
Doing regular exercise adds strength  to heart muscle, which will  result in more efficient pumping and a higher stroke volume and therefore the resting pulse rate increases.

       2)   The lung capacity is increased, the lungs become more efficient in getting o2  into your blood by                        doing regular exercise.
3)The o2 carring capacity of blood is increased
Doing exercise increases the number of red blood cells and this increases th efficiency of your heart , which needs to pump less blood in one unit time.

Wonderful Quatations that everyone must read before you die !!!!

Wonderful Quatations that everyone must read

1. The most dangerous vice in life is gossip, the greatest shot in the arm is ENCOURAGEMENT and the most worthless emotion is, self pity –just.

2.A crippled boy bought a puppy that limped and said," i dont run either, so I understand it." There many hurting today do you understand- just.....

3.Always keep your attitudes in check.Attitudes can be like baby diapers; Periodically they need to be changed, if not they start to stink! just.........

                                4. The most prized possesion in life is intergrity. The two most powerful words are                      I                         CAN and the most effective sleeping pill is PEACE OF MIND.-just....

Todays topic is all about Units of measurements (in physics)

SI units (Systeme International d’ Units)

a. Length – Meter (m)
b. Mass – Kilogram (kg)
• The greater the mass of an object, the greater is its resistance to any change in motion.
• The greater the mass of an object, the greater is the earth’s gravitational pull upon it.
c. Time – Seconds (s)
d. Volume – Meter Cubed (cm3)
• NOTE – a. Volume of a rectangular = Length x Width x Height
b. Volume of a cylinder = pr2 x Height
2. Speed, Velocity and Acceleration

Speed and velocity
a. If an object moves between two points in a measured time its average speed = Distance moved ÷ time taken
• Unit of speed = Meters per second (m/s)
b. VELOCITY indicates the speed at which an object travels at a particular direction
Average velocity = distance moved in a particular direction ÷ time taken
• Quantities such as velocity that have both magnitude and direction are known as vector quantities.
• If the velocity of an object is constant or UNIFORM the speed and the direction is the same

  4. Less denser than air.
  5. Very solluble in water to give an alkaline sollution .
  6. Colourless and distinctive smell

An interesting essay read it.............

My ambition in life
From my very childhood I have a keen interest in the medical field. Besides this, every job that seemed to be impressing was my little ambition.
Now I am in school-end and I am passing out of my school next year after my O – level. I have many ambitions in life, but I am sure that only some of them will work out. I had always liked to become a leading member of my society and serve other people. In fact, it is simple, I want  to become a doctor and not a doctor who simply sits in his office and treats the people, but one who goes round to many interior places and takes care of the sick and the poor, because I simply love travelling.
And also beside this, I want to be able to do some repairing works, not repairing televisions or vehicles, but repairing computer parts and phones and others.
The  famous saying ‘ Destiny is not a matter of chances, but destiny is a matter of choices’ has been deeply printed in my mind right from childhood.
Life is full of wonders, as well as suffering. I must learn to make right choices, in order to succeed in this competitive world. As for my only desire is to work towards my goal and work my best to get good grades for my GCE OL. I have faith but still it is outside my jurisdiction, that one day I will emerge out of this corrupted society as a doctor and then till life ends serve the people who are suffering.

Ok The May/June cambridge exam is comming fast and so you like to study out the following before appearing !

1.     Units of measurements

SI units (Systeme International d’ Units)

1.
Length – Meter (m)
2.  Mass – Kilogram (kg)
• The greater the mass of an object, the greater is its resistance to any change in    motion.
• The greater the mass of an object, the greater is the earth’s gravitational pull   upon it.

3. Time – Seconds (s)
4. Volume – Meter Cubed (cm3)
• NOTE – a. Volume of a rectangular = Length x Width x Height
5. Volume of a cylinder = pr2 x Height
2. Speed, Velocity and Acceleration

Speed and velocity

Unit of speed = Meters per second (m/s)
·
If an object moves between two points in a measured time its average speed =      Distance moved ÷ time taken

·          VELOCITY indicates the speed at which an object travels at a particular direction.                                                                                                                                     Average velocity = distance moved in a particular direction ÷ time taken.

·        Quantities such as velocity that have both magnitude and direction are known as vector quantities.

·          If the velocity of an object is constant or UNIFORM the speed and the direction is the same
Acceleration
Acceleration is a vector quantity. An object accelerates whenever the velocity changes.
AVERAGE VELOCITY = GAIN IN VELOCITY ÷TIME TAKEN
Unit of acceleration = m/s2

1.      Distance- time graphs

Ina d.istance- time graph, the line of the graph becomes steeper as the distance travelled every second increases.
·         The gradient of distance-time graph is numerically equal to the velocity.

2.      Velocity-time graphs

·         The area under a Velocity-time graph is numerically equal to the distance.
·         The gradient under a Velocity-time graph is numerically equal to the acceleration.

Equations of Motion

1.     V = u+at
2.     S = ½(v+u)t
3.     S = ut + ½ at2
4.     V2 = u2 +2as

Lets focu s little on genetics today.............

There are different genes and alleles found and many varities of them read below to know each one
Homozygous dominant
If there are two dominant alleles one from each parent. The offspring is described as homozygous dominant.(F,F).
Homozygous ressesive
If there are two ressesive  alleles one from each parent. The offspring is described as homozygous ressesive.
Heterozygous
If there is one dominant and one ressesive alleles, the offspring is described as heterozygous.

Lets focus on light and study a little physics.............
REFRACTION OF LIGHT
Velocity of light in air          (Va) = 3 x 10 8   ms-1
Velocity of light in water    (Vw) = 9/4 x 108 ms-1
Velocity of light in glass      (Vg) = 2 x 108 ms-1
Velocity of light in diamond (Vd) = 4/3 x 108 ms-1

·       Light has properties of _____ (discovered by Hughgen) and the properties of particles (discovered by Einstein).
·        Considering light as a wave it has velocity, wavelength and frequency related by the formula v= f x
Sensation connected with frequency light is sight (color).
·       Violet light has higher frequency and smaller wavelength but red light has low frequency and large wavelength.
·       V
I          Descending order
    B          of frequency
G
Y
O
R
Velocity of light depends on the medium.
Respiration and help for questions on Biology in the exams...........

Respiration is the process in which food gets oxidized in the mitochondria to produce energy. The reactions that involve the oxidation of glucose are enzyme control. The byproducts of this reaction (respiration) are CO2 and water. For the reaction to occur, O2 must be present usually. You may ask yourself why oxygen is only mostly needed and not always, the fact behind this is that there is another type of respiration called anaerobic respiration where O2 is not needed. Well Anaerobic respiration takes place
1.       When yeast cells respire with glucose during fermentation.
2.       When heavy exercise is done by your muscles as a product of lactic acid is formed.

Some biological questions (Answers on the other page)
1.      List the characteristics of living things.
2.      How many times can a good microscope magnify?
3.      What sort of cells is surrounded by a cell surface membrane?
4.      What are plant cell walls made of?
5.      What does fully permeable mean?
6.      What does partially permeable mean?
7.      What is the main constituent of the cytoplasm?
8.      What is a vacuole?
9.      What is a cell sap?

Ways to be happy inorder to study well

Hello Welcome to my blog ,
You may  be  a dtudent or a teacher or someone else who needs scince help. You have come to  the right place.Firstly before studying let us be happy with life. Read through to becomr happy in life.....
1) Get rid of the feeling of only being content with yourself when you have achieved a great success, be it at work or in your private life. there are far more reasons to be satisfied than you might think possible; you could, for example, be content with yourself, if you were able to relax at least for a brief or if you have prepared a nice meal
2) If your start to experience the little successes or the pleasures in everyday life more strongly and learn to savor them, you will soon develop completely different attitude towards yourself-you will become more self-confident and  at the same time more satisfied. the most important step towards happiness has thus been taken
3) you will only find self-confidence and inner peace if you don’t constantly criticize yourself. Why not praise yourself now and again for something that you have achieved and reward yourself for it.
4) Spoil yourself as a reward for a success that you achieved in the upbringing of your children, at work or in some other field. Prepare a nice meal for yourself, relax in a hot bath, take a long walk –simply do something that is good for you.
5) Everyone has a entirely different perception of happiness; some people can only be happy if they are shown time and again how much they are loved; others are happy when they see their children grow up to become contented, self-confident people; and still others are happy when they have time to read in peace. You alone must out what happiness means for you on a personal level.
6) Most people think about the highlights in life (getting married, the birth of a child, a big advance in their career) when asked to associate a specific event with their notion of happiness. but there far more situations when we are happy or could be happy, even if they are not quite as spectacular.
