A tiptop revision of magntism in physics ....

Fields, Currents and Forces.
When a current passes through a conductor, a magnetic field is produced. When a current is passed through a conductor in a magnetic field a force is produced.
Fleming’s left hand rule
This is used to find the direction of force, when the direction of the current and the magnetic directions are given.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE:
1.      The direction of the field is from north to south.
2.      The direction of current is from (+) pole.
3.      The rule can only be applied if the current and the field are at right angles.

·         THUMB=> Thrust (force)
·         FIRST=>      Field
·         SECOND=>Current
Increasing the force
1.      Increase the strength of the magnet.
2.      Increase the size of the magnet.
3.      Increase the length of the conductor.

(THIS FORCE IS USED IN THE “MOVING COIL LOUD SPEAKER” TO PRODUCE SOUND.)

Forces between current carrying conductors
If the currents flow in opposite direction they repel each other.

Importance of excersise to humans.......

The importance of exercise
Well, let’s direct our attention on the various benefits of exercise .before I proceed, I would like to emphasize why exercise is currently stressed it’s simple because nowadays more people gravitate towards sedentary works instead of hard works, like playing computer games and watching TV.

lets begin
1)    The efficiency of the heart is improved
Doing regular exercise adds strength  to heart muscle, which will  result in more efficient pumping and a higher stroke volume and therefore the resting pulse rate increases.

       2)   The lung capacity is increased, the lungs become more efficient in getting o2  into your blood by                        doing regular exercise.
3)The o2 carring capacity of blood is increased
Doing exercise increases the number of red blood cells and this increases th efficiency of your heart , which needs to pump less blood in one unit time.

Wonderful Quatations that everyone must read before you die !!!!

Wonderful Quatations that everyone must read

1. The most dangerous vice in life is gossip, the greatest shot in the arm is ENCOURAGEMENT and the most worthless emotion is, self pity –just.

2.A crippled boy bought a puppy that limped and said," i dont run either, so I understand it." There many hurting today do you understand- just.....

3.Always keep your attitudes in check.Attitudes can be like baby diapers; Periodically they need to be changed, if not they start to stink! just.........

                                4. The most prized possesion in life is intergrity. The two most powerful words are                      I                         CAN and the most effective sleeping pill is PEACE OF MIND.-just....
 5. Every time you influence somebody in a good or bad way , you are assuming     leadership. It is not a position, remember it is a in fluence just......

Todays topic is all about Units of measurements (in physics)

SI units (Systeme International d’ Units)

a. Length – Meter (m)
b. Mass – Kilogram (kg)
• The greater the mass of an object, the greater is its resistance to any change in motion.
• The greater the mass of an object, the greater is the earth’s gravitational pull upon it.
c. Time – Seconds (s)
d. Volume – Meter Cubed (cm3)
• NOTE – a. Volume of a rectangular = Length x Width x Height
b. Volume of a cylinder = pr2 x Height
2. Speed, Velocity and Acceleration

Speed and velocity
a. If an object moves between two points in a measured time its average speed = Distance moved ÷ time taken
• Unit of speed = Meters per second (m/s)
b. VELOCITY indicates the speed at which an object travels at a particular direction
Average velocity = distance moved in a particular direction ÷ time taken
• Quantities such as velocity that have both magnitude and direction are known as vector quantities.
• If the velocity of an object is constant or UNIFORM the speed and the direction is the same

We will learn the various properties of ammonia today........

Properties
  1. Turns red litmus paper blue.
  2. Pungent smell.
  3. NH 3 +Hcl gives NH 4cl (white fume).
  4. Less denser than air.
  5. Very solluble in water to give an alkaline sollution .
  6. Colourless and distinctive smell
